Rosette Nebula The Rosette Nebula (NGC2237-39) is a strikingly beautiful and large though faint emission nebula in the constellation Monoceros to the east of Orion. It is difficult to observe visually but faint clouds and some structure can be made out in larger scopes. The pretty open star cluster (NGC2244) in it's center gives away it's location. It's size covers 4 times as much visual area of the sky as that of the moon. |

Comments: Average seeing. Minimal wind. Somewhat cloudy during shot. Had to waste 55 minutes of exposure data due to cloud cover coming and going. Quite cold in the low 30's deg F. |
