The Pelican Nebula
This image is known as the Pelican Nebula or the complex emission nebula region IC5067-70. It is one of the more interesting sections of the large faint nebulas in the constellation Cygnus. This nebula is also noted for its interesting position next to the larger North American Nebula. Click on the image for a close up on some of the complex structure in the "head." |
