Butterfly Nebula - IC1318
This is the brightest area of an extensive and diffuse emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus, not far from the more familiar and larger North American Nebula and Pelican Nebulas. This nebula is centered near the bright star Gamma Cygni and the larger nebula complex is often referred to as the Gamma Cygni Nebula. |
